Website platforms that permit custom scripts
The widget can run on a website allowing the external JavaScript snippet. WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, WooCommerce, and custom sites have different places and permissions for adding code. Embedding a snippet is not a marketplace app with access to orders, customers, or checkout.
Start with the installation guide and your platform custom-code documentation. Approve your exact hostname, install once, and test the live page. A platform subscription or administrator permission may be needed. Website functionality should remain usable with the widget open and closed.
Contact links and channel boundaries
Configure contact options such as email, phone, and WhatsApp. These links open the contact route for the visitor. A WhatsApp link does not give the chatbot access to your WhatsApp account, synchronise conversations, or enable automated outbound templates.
Do not describe website chat as an omnichannel inbox unless the required channel integration has been implemented and tested. Check the configuration and destination address or number before publishing a contact option.
Signed webhooks and developer-managed delivery
The application can emit configured events through signed webhooks. A developer can receive events, verify authenticity, and map relevant data to another tool. That connection needs a secure receiver, agreed field mapping, and error handling.
A webhook option is not a native connector catalogue. Google Sheets, HubSpot, and Zoho CRM setup is [CONFIRM WITH OWNER]. Do not enter third-party credentials into an unverified workflow or assume free access includes a specific connector.
Before connecting customer information
Decide which event and fields the destination needs. Avoid copying complete transcripts simply because they are available. Check the receiving system permissions, retention, and deletion process, and test synthetic data first.
Keep the signing secret server-side and verify requests at the receiver. Successful delivery does not necessarily mean a useful destination record was created. Review errors, duplicate handling, and retries with the responsible developer.
